You will meet our guide outside the reception hall of the port of Ashdod, from where we will head to Jerusalem. On the drive to Jerusalem your tour guide will inform you about Israel’s rich history. The drive can be about one hour, depending on traffic.
In Jerusalem, our tour begins with a magnificent view from the Mount of Olives of the Dome of the Rock and the Temple Mount.
From there we make our way into the Old City and walk towards the Wailing Wall, the holiest place for the Jewish people and the last remains of the Second Temple.
We will pass through the Via Dolorosa (the Way of Agony), and follow the same path Jesus took while carrying the cross, towards the Church of Resurrection. The New Testament describes this site as Golgotha, where Jesus was crucified and later buried.
We will board our mini-bus and make our way through the Judean Desert towards the Dead Sea Beach where you will have time to enjoy the mud baths or float in the saline rich sea. The beach includes changing rooms and showers, beach chairs, mineral rich mud and the Lowest Bar in the World. The Dead Sea’s mud is famously used for cosmetic treatments.
After relaxing in the Dead Sea, we will pass by Jericho, the oldest city in the world, and then return you to the port of Ashdod.
