Our Jerusalem Jewish Heritage Tour gives you an understanding of the importance of Jerusalem in Jewish Heritage
, showing how Jerusalem connects the old and the new, the ancient and modern, the individual and the nation. We've carefully planned this tour to take it enough to make you feel that no minute was wasted, but not too much that you will feel you've been rushed off your feet and not been given a chance to appreciate what you are seeing.
Your day will commence with a walking tour of the Old City of Jerusalem, exploring the alleyways, bazaars, synagogues, Jewish history and architectural sites along the route culminating in a visit to the Kotel - the Wailing Wall where Jews have prayed bewailing the destruction of the Jewish Temple for millenia. Walk along the same stones and pathways as King David walked and visit the city that was for so long not accessible to Jews. You will also be able to see the Davidson Center's southern wall excavations.
In the afternoon, you will visit the Ammunition Hill, one of the most significant memorial site of the six days war (1967) and then on to Mount Herzl, Israel 's military cemetery and where many of Israel's war heroes are buried.
Finally, you will drive to the Yad Vashem Holocaust museum which houses the largest collection of Holocaust memorabilia and archives in the world, and has a permanent exhibition that has been viewed by millions of visitors to Israel.
