Day 1: Arrival

Wednesday / Overnight: Jerusalem

Welcome to Israel!

Arrive at Ben Gurion Airport. After Passport Control, a representative will be waiting for you at Baggage Claim. Once you’ve collected all of your luggage, we will drive you to your hotel in Jerusalem.

Free Time

There are no planned activities for the rest of the day. Use this time to sleep off jet lag, call home or start exploring!

Day 2: Jerusalem

Thursday / Overnight: Jerusalem

Mount of Olives

Take in the spectacular view of the old city from this mountain.

Church of All Nations

According to Mark [14:32-42], it is believed that Jesus prayed here, on a large stone before his arrest.

Mount Zion and King David’s Tomb

Enter the room of the Last Supper. Visit the building believed to be the resting place of the man who composed the Book of Psalms and established Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

Old City, Cardo, and Temple Mount

Journey through thousands of years of history. Walk along the Cardo, the ancient roman road, to the Western Wall Plaza and enter the Temple Mount. (Please be aware that non-Muslims may not enter any of the mosques on the Temple Mount.)

The Kotel (The Western Wall)

Take some time to visit the holiest site for the Jewish People. Visitors from all around the world come to pray here through words and notes places into the stones of the wall.

Church of the Holy Sepulchre

Walk along the Via Dolorosa, in the footsteps of Jesus. End at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre where the Crucifixion occurred.

Bazaar and Garden Tomb

Stroll through a traditional Middle Eastern bazaar, taking in the smell of spices, sweets, and coffee. Arrive at the Garden Tomb where some believe the Crucifixion and Resurrection occurred. The Garden Tomb is a quiet outdoor space perfect for prayer and reflation.

Day 3: Jerusalem

Friday / Overnight: Jerusalem

Church of Visitation

Located in the quiet residential neighborhood of Ein Karem, the Church of the Visitation is associate d with Mary’s visit to her pregnant cousin Elizabeth. [Luke 1:39-56] This is the site where Mary sung the Magnificat, which has become one of the most famous hymns attributed to Mary.

Yad Vashem

Yad Vashem is dedicated to preserving the history and memory of the Holocaust. The compound includes a museum, memorials, a research center and archives.

Israel Museum

The world-famous Israel Museum displays numerous permanent and temporary exhibits on art, history, anthropology and archaeology from Israel and the world. The permanent display includes the Shrine of the Book, where the Dead Sea Scrolls are kept.

Bethlehem

Drive via Rachel’s Tomb. See the birthplace of Jesus inside the Church of the Nativity. Walk around Manger Square where thousands of worshippers gather each year at Christmas.

Day 4: The South

Saturday / Overnight: Jerusalem

Qumran

See the caves which hid the Dead Sea Scrolls until archaeologist discovered them in 1947. The 800 plus scrolls are believed to be remains from the oldest bible in the world, written between 200 BC and 68 AD.

Masada

Ride via cable car to the top of Masada and see the remains of Herod’s palace and the last bastion of the Jewish Revolt against the Romans. The ancient cisterns, baths and mosaics are well preserved.

Dead Sea

At a private beach, cover yourself with mud thought to have therapeutic qualities, shower off, feel refreshed and float in the Dead Sea, the lowest place on earth.

Day 5: Nazareth and Beit Shean

Sunday / Overnight: Kibbutz Lavi

Beit Shean

Visit Israel’s largest archeological park, at the ancient city of Beit Shean. Explore the remains of what was once a Hellenistic, and later Byzantine city. Walk through ancient streets, shrines, and an amphitheater.

Yardenit

Here on the Jordan River Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist.

Joseph’s Workshop

The St. Joseph Church according to tradition was the carpentry workshop of Joseph.

Church of Annunciation, Saint Mary’s Well

Visit the Church of Annunciation in the city of Nazareth. The church is built on top of an underground spring. According to the Eastern Orthodox tradition, this is the location where the Virgin Mary was drawing water during the moment of the Annunciation.

Day 6: Tiberias, Capernaum, Banias

Monday / Overnight: Kibbutz Lavi

Tiberias

Explore the beautiful ancient city of Tiberias on the shores of the Sea of Galilee. After a short tour of Tiberias, we take a boat ride to Capernaum.

Capernaum

Visit the Hasmonean fishing village on the northern shore of the Sea of Galilee. It was here where archaeologists discovered two ancient synagogues built on top of each other. Here is also the location of the octagonal church of Saint Peter.

The Mount of Beatitudes

This mountain is believed to be the location where Jesus delivered the famous Sermon on the Mount.

Banias Springs

Hike in one of Israel’s most popular nature reserves - home to the Banias Waterfall. On the way, see exotic plants and wildlife, and ruins of an ancient temple.

Golan Heights

Tour this area concurred by Israel during the Six-Day War. This mountainous region is home to beautiful nature and breath-taking views.

Day 7: Caesarea, Megiddo, Haifa, Akko

Tuesday / Overnight: Tel Aviv

Akko

Explore this ancient port city, with its crusader ruins, ancient prison, mosques, market, and harbor.

Haifa

Visit Israel’s third largest city, built on the beautiful Mount Carmel. See the world famous Baha’i Gardens and Shrine of the Báb.

Megiddo

Megiddo is identified with Armageddon, the scene of the battle of the End of Days according to Revelation 16:14-21. The archaeological excavations include an extremely well preserved water system dating back to the Bronze Age (1500-1200 BC).

Caesarea

Wander through the ancient buildings dating back the 3rd century BC. See stunning archaeological ruins including Roman aqueducts and an amphitheater.

Day 8: Ben Gurion Airport

Wednesday

Ben Gurion Airport

Transfer to the Airport. Have a safe flight and come back soon!
